Everyone so enjoyed the first weekend, we persuaded our tutor Ann Bell to some and teach us some stitched book bindings. Once again I had an inspiring 3 hour drive, Mount Ruapehu looked magnificent. I had prepared folios to bind, but in the end decided to work on blank papers so i wasn't worrying about messing anything up... i will do another blog on those books when I get them bound. I did however upcycle a book that was falling to pieces about Cezanne, I am pleased that I could rescue this book to live another life in another form! We did Coptic, Secret Belgian binding, and several variations on spine binding described in Keith Smith's book - Waterfall, Crossed Snow Shoes and the Rope.
